About Madison's Fifth Birthday...

We all know that I've been rather sporadic in posting over here lately.  Today I was reminded that I neglected to post about Madison's 5th birthday!

Actually, I didn't forget, I just never quite got around to it.  Madison's birthday got lost in the shuffle of posts about a visit to "The Pumpkin Patch", a trip to the fair, our Halloween Party, and trick-or-treat night.  Whew! No wonder I never got around to it!!!

So, without further delay, here is a post about Madison's birthday party which took place on October 23.

Here's our birthday girl with her "Tinkerbell" birthday cake!  I can't believe how "grown up" she is.  She's becoming quite a little lady (sometimes).

And here is a photo of Madison and Cade "cheesin' it up for the camera!  Those two are always up to something!

This year Madison had two cousins at her birthday party!  Madison's mom is holding new baby cousin, Gabriella.  Gabby just sat and watched this year, but just give her a year or two, and she'll be joining in the fun!

Madison had hot dogs with all of the trimmings for her birthday meal, followed by cake and ice cream, of course!  She received an assortment of clothes and fun new toys as gifts.  I gave her a Strawberry Shortcake remote control car--her first remote control toy!  What a "hoot" that was, watching Madison steer the little car all over the place!

At the end of her party, Madison followed her usual birthday tradition, by releasing five balloons into the sky--to symbolize her five years of life.  It's always a bit sad to me, watching those balloons float off into the heavens...I seem to find myself thinking...another year gone already?!  My, they do pass quickly!

Happy Birthday To My Favorite Little Man!

I can hardly believe that three years have passed since this little boy entered our family as the first grandson. He's all boy and growing faster than a weed! He still loves to collect rocks, ride tractors, play with trains, and work with his tools. Oh, and he likes construction toys, too!

We celebrated his special day at our house on Sunday, with cake, ice cream, balloons, and tractors--just like he wanted!  He had a grand old time opening his birthday gifts!

Today is his actual birthday and he'll be having cupcakes with some of his best friends at his Aunt Lisa's daycare. Enjoy your second special day, Caden, and Happy Birthday to you!
