A Big Milestone...

Welcome Friday Followers...This is MiMi's little blog, where I get to display photographs of my favorite little people, and write about what is going on in their lives. I hope you enjoy your visit here. Be sure to leave a comment, so I can visit your place as well. Thanks so much to One2Try, HeartsMakeFamilies, and MiddayEscapades for hosting this bloghop.
If you want an example of how fast time really passes--just look at children! The cute little toddler, celebrating her second Christmas while cooking on her first stove, has now grown to be...

This little preschooler! That's right--Madison has officially been enrolled in a two day preschool for the fall. It's hard to believe that she is going on 4 years old. She has an October birthday, so she's not old enough for pre-K.

Madison's mom thought some interaction with some other children might be good for Madison, so she's enrolled her in "Wee Kids". It's a 3 hour preschool that is only held two days per week at a local Baptist church.

I remember when I felt the same way about Brandy, Madison's mom, and enrolled her in preschool. It was a happy time--it was a sad time...I realized that my little girl was growing up, and for the first time...I wouldn't have the only control and influence in her life anymore. What a sobering thought, especially in today's world...

Madison's mom is having those same feelings...Hold on Brandy and Maddie...the ride is about to begin. May it be a joyous and happy one--for both of you!

Enjoying Spring...

I haven't been blogging on here as much as I usually do. Part of the reason is because I haven't been feeling well...the other reason is because I have been enjoying the spring days with these two little ones!

I enjoy watching Madison and Cade playing together. Cade is "all boy" and loves to play outside. The two of them get along great together most of the time. Madison has come a long way from those early days when she wouldn't come near Cade!

They seem to enjoy spending time together, and I sure enjoy spending time with them. They had a fantastic time last week, playing outside on Madison's outdoor toys. They even "fought" a little over who was going to stand on the little perch at the top of the slide...I guess one is just as stubborn as the other, because neither one moved!

The Young and The Old...

This is a picture of my grandson, Caden, and my daughter's old dog, Junior. I love the way Caden squatted down to be eye-level with Junior. They shared a moment with each other, then each went their own way...

When I downloaded this photograph, I was struck by what this photograph represents...the young and the old...Cade is "the young" with his entire life ahead of him, while Junior is "the old"-- an old dog in his final months of life(heartworm disease). For some reason, that touched my heart...I thought it was sweet--and so goes the cycle of life...
