Six Word Saturday

Time to play Six Word Saturday...the meme where I think of 6 words to describe my life...or something...Thank you, Cate at http://www.showmyface.com for hosting this meme each week--and for faithfully commenting on the participating blogs--that is quite a task! We all know how aggravating it can be to leave comments sometimes...thanks to those spam filters...

My six words are:

Let's give Cate a "high five"!

We love you Cate, but we understand if you can't always leave a comment. After all...you do have a life as Joe's wife, mommy to furry babies, active blogger, and let's not forget that demanding job...Whew! I'm tired just writing about it. Love ya' girl!

Random Thoughts..

I bought this little monkey outfit for Caden back at the end of the summer, while we were on our last beach trip in Florida. I didn't know how long it would take him to grow into it. It's a size 12 months and it finally fits. I picked it out because it had a monkey on the front, and Cade has tons of monkey stuff--including a tiny monkey blanket that he sleeps with. He can even tell you the sound that a monkey makes.
I love watching Caden toddling all around my house. My kitchen has two doors leading into the living room. He loves to go in one door, and come out the other one. He does that over and over. Madison used to do the same thing when she was small.
In fact, both Madison and Cade were over visiting yesterday, and she was chasing him through those doors--while carrying a bean bag car. He was loving that! I was trying to make lunch for them while this was going on...I'm sure there will be many more similar adventures in the future!
Yes, the house comes alive when the grandkids come around...and gets silent when they leave...It's the best of both worlds--and I like it that way!

Future Chefs...

Do you think either one of these two might grow up to be future chefs? Probably not, but they do enjoy playing with my old Party Kitchen.

I have to thank my husband for finding this play kitchen sitting outside of a trash dumpster, and bringing it home...He does things like that--a lot! It's actually in pretty good shape considering how old it is. I actually found the missing parts--the coffee pot, and the telephone--on eBay, and bought them. You can see the coffee pot on the stove in the picture.

You know the saying..."One man's trash, is another man's treasure." I guess there's something to that...

Anyway, I saved a lot of my daughter's old tea sets and pretend food, so the two "budding chefs" have more than enough things to keep them busy in the kitchen...What's that you say...would you like fries with that, sir?
Of course, have it your way...and have a nice day!

Happiness Is...

Happiness is having two of my favorite girls come over to my house and bake Valentine's Day cupcakes with me...We made two batches of them on Saturday. One batch of "Funfetti" and one batch of "Red Velvet".

Happiness is also making and decorating some minature cupcakes for the children at church...Brandy is always faithful to show up on Sunday mornings with a snack for her Sunday School class...
Happiness is also watching Madison decorate the frosted cupcakes with tiny little sprinkles...and eating a sample when she is finished!
