Recently, four-year-old granddaughter, Maddie, mentioned to my daughter that a little boy at school by the name of "David", occasionally pulls her hair.
Madison's mama explained to her that sometimes little boys pull little girl's hair because they "like" them. Madison's response to this bit of information was "Oh, David is my boyfriend!"
Madison's daddy about had a heart attack at that point! He began to scold her for talking about having a boyfriend.
Meanwhile, Maddie's mama calmly asked "What do boyfriends and girlfriends do?" To which Madison promptly responded "Oh they play the guitar, sing, and dance together!"
Oh, the things we can learn from a four-year-old!
