We Knew We Loved You, Madison at

Granddaughter Madison's birthday is rapidly approaching.
I am putting together photo montages in celebration of Madison's first four years of life.
This montage spotlights the important people in Madison's first year of life.
We really did love her before we met her!

On The Move...

My favorite little guy spent some time with us on Friday afternoon/evening.

It had been a while since he'd visited for that long.
He only sat still for a total of about ten minutes the entire visit.
Most of those ten minutes were while he was eating supper.
At one point, he grabbed a throw pillow and got in the recliner to watch some television.
I grabbed my camera and took his photograph.
I'm glad I took it quickly.
He was up and gone about two minutes later.
Now I know why people have babies when they are young!
I also know how Cade's parents manage to stay thin.
Did I mention that Madison was visiting, too?
The two of them had a blast!
MiMi slept very good that night.
The end...

Smile--Or Not!

A "not-so-funny" thing happened this weekend...Maddie's daddy brought her over to our house so I could take a picture of her wearing the little shirt that I bought her for Halloween...

When I got my camera out, and asked her to pose beside my Halloween tree, this is the response that I got...

I am more than used to this response...I've seen this face multiple times over the past four years. I usually go ahead and just snap the photograph anyway. I figured I'd just make a collage of all of her "crying photos" one of these days...

Another "not so funny" thing happened when my husband-- known to Maddie as "E-pa"-- took the camera and asked Maddie to pose...

Now, what's up with this??? Look at that pose! I may have to pass the "picture taking duties" to "E-pa"...apparently, he knows how to get that special smile...It's hard to believe that these photographs were made less than 5 minutes apart!
