A lot of times when I am preparing to write a post, I look through my photographs for something to jog my memory.
Today as I was scrolling through, I saw this photograph...I was looking at how gently Brett is touching Cade, and remembered how he hovered over him that day while he was sitting in that glider...
I love watching my oldest son interact with his son. I see the love in his eyes the gentleness in his touch. It reminds me of my husband. He's always been such a kind and loving father--just as his father before him was...
I'm glad to see that the tradition has been passed on. You are doing a wonderful job, Brett. Treasure these days, for they will pass quickly...

Hi Kathy, it is always wonderful to see a father interact close to his son.You have a great son and grandson to love and share memories with forever.Your husband must be a loving and caring man to have his son follow in his footsteps..You are blessed..thanks for sharing the men in your life with us. hugs, Baba
Sons who are gentle and loving fathers are a blessing! Thank you for sharing and reminding me of another blessing in my own life. BTW, I have been out of pocket and have some catching up to do on your blog. Love your new look!
What a beautiful picture and how true are your words. My oldest is 16 now and driving...it was only yesterday that he was nursing. I'm fortunate to be a stay at home mom so I never missed a heart beat and I treasure the memories and the many many more memories to come.
I've been looking thru your blog...such a warm place to come and visit.
