*****I have a sister blog at http://www.edshunnybunny.wordpress.com/ Please visit me there!
Today I will call this post "Not Maddie, Monday....Madison is at the age where she is imitating everything that she sees and hears....It's a good thing when she says "please" and "thank you" or "yes sir" or "no m'am" but not so good when she says some other things that she hears....
Maddie did not call her mama a "hog" this week....needless to say, mama was not impressed...
Maddie did not call her MiMi "stupid" week before last...MiMi wasn't impressed....
Maddie did not tell her daddy to "shut up" this week....daddy wasn't impressed either....
I don't know where she's getting some of these words, but I sure wish she'd stop...sometimes people tell children to say things as a joke, but it's not so funny when the child gets in trouble as a result...sometimes people say things without thinking--myself included....but I can't take "credit" for any of the above phrases....Ah, the joys of raising children!
Now head on over to Mckmama's at http://www.mycharmingkids.net/ and see what's going on at the blog carnival over at her place. Before you leave, please scroll down and enter my "Leave a Caption" contest for a chance to win a cool new bath toy. It's located just below this post! Good luck and have a great Monday!

oh my, the wonderful words that children learn!!
I'm going to guess that Maddie is a toddler or preschooler? I have those days with my kids!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Yes, I do cringe at having to pack the lunchboxes but I would feel worse about making the kids eat the cafeteria food. I taught first grade for 7 years and that food just isn't good for you :) By the way, my kids went through a stage (VERY short mind you) of saying those words. I found they had heard the word "stupid" from watching Sponge Bob Square Pants. They don't watch it at home but have seen it at my sister's house.
Thanks for commenting on my blog. Yes, we've had times with our kids when they've picked something undesirable up from somewhere. There's a few words I've been unable to root out of their vocabulary. Take care.
Thanks for commenting on my blog....I do actually live in GA...Azalea is a dead give away, huh? =)
I saw that you follow one of the same blogs that I do..."Paiges of Life." Do you know Michael and Paige?
btw, I totally agree that it is NOT funny to tell the little ones to say inappropriate things (unless this little one does not belong to you!)
Yea, kids do pick up on all of our WORST habits, don't they?
♫ "Oh be careful little MOMS what you do... oh be carful little Moms what you do. There's child down below, who is looking up to you...so be careful little Moms what you do!" ♪
Kathy,
Ah, they will repeat whatever they hear, won't they.
Thanks for stopping by Art's Chili. I hope you will be back soon.
