Tuesday Blog Hop--Home School or Regular School?

Madison recently turned 3 years old. Before we know it, it will be time to think about school. In fact, Brandy is already doing a little pre-school program with her at home. So far Madison has learned to recognize the letter "A", the number "1", the shape "square", all about cows, what animals live in the jungle, and more. That's just two weeks of lessons--a few minutes a day.

My question to readers is this: Do you prefer home schooling or regular schooling, and why? I'd love to hear your opinions and/or experiences! I'd appreciate it if you'd take a moment to share with me. Thanks so much for hopping by...Kathy

I definately prefer regular schooling, although I have never tried to home school. I did think about it once or twice. I don't have the patience to home school. I also think the children need the socialization that regular school offers. As a mom of two children with special needs, they get all or their speech, OT , PT from school. Plus..with Joey..I honestly need that break.

Thanks for your comment...

as for homeschooling, i was homeschooled almsot my whole education. It could have been good, but the parent really has to be committed to quality learning, extra activities (Music, PE and social skills)
It is not for every child...It was not a good expreience for me. My parents left too much for me to do alone and I was a child who needed hands on...
so either way, it needs to be fit with the child's learning style.
