Six Word Saturday

I'm giving away this set of stencils and a velvet art poster on Monday morning. If you are interested in winning it, please see Friday's post for how to enter my giveaway...

My six words for this Saturday are:

No raise for hubby this year....:(

Can I just say that this economy is really beginning to get on my last nerve??? Each week I go to the gas station and get less gas for the same amount of money...

Every two weeks I go to the grocery store, and get less groceries for the same amount of money...

My husband had his yearly evaluation this week at work. He got a great evaluation. Unfortunately, it doesn't matter because there is a freeze on raises where he works...No chance of a raise for at least another year...Bah Humbug!

How in the world are people supposed to break even, much less get ahead...when everything is going up except the paycheck??? Can I hear an "a-men"?
Thanks to Cate at http://www.showmyface.com/ for hosting this meme!

Amen! I completely feel your pain. We are self-employed and haven't seen raises in several years. In fact, we had to take a paycut last year. Finances sure are tight!

~oh i am so sorry...atleast the evaluation was a positive and when things take a turn for the better hopefully he will reap the rewards of his hard work...my husband has been on a three year freeze...its frustrating but we try to remain blessed as he atleast HAS a job and there are so many who don't...wishing you much ease in the finances...brightest blessings

It is hard. Our prices are rising too. I do what I can by clipping coupons and shopping sales. It takes time, but I'm seeing results. I hope you guys have a great weekend.

My husband is in business for himself and it's been the absolute worse time for us in the last couple of decades! We are so ready for this economy to turn around...

Amen! Congrats on the good review at least. :) Hopefully next year will be different. I regret to say that as I write that my hope is kind of low in that area... :)

Sorry about the raise. I got one, though it was smaller than years past, and felt guilty about it. I'm fortunate just to have a job when so many don't.

Thanks for playing 6WS!
